This plant is almost always sold commercially as a real rose of Jericho. The real rose of Jericho is scientifically called Anastatica hierochuntica and comes from Jordan and Israel. The fake rose of Jericho comes from the desert areas of South and Central America. Although the plant can do without water for a long time during one of the rare rains, the dried plants from the water trade only develop due to physical processes. Since the rose of Jericho was considered a sacred plant, it was also believed that she could read the future from it. For ordinary people, it was the Christmas rose, given to amazed children only at Christmas time. Often she had a small present in her. If you want them to rise, place the "rose" in a shallow container and pour water over it. With cold water, it takes 10-12 hours for the ball ball to be a wide open brownish/greenish fresh plant. Cover with hot water and open in front of you within 10-20 minutes. The plant can be in the water for a week, then it needs at least two weeks of drought.
