Morpho deidamia is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful of the approximately 70 different Morpho species. The turquoise-blue, metallic color is caused by light refraction on the particularly shaped scales on the upper side of the wings. That is why Morpho preparations do not discolor over a long period of time.
The installation of the zoological specimen in the fully glazed diorama was made in a German taxidermy studio.
