Ophioglosolambis Digitata belongs to the family of the Strombidae (wing snails, English: True Conchs) and is a striking sea snail. It is characterized by its distinctive, extended housing with pronounced extensions. This species is widespread in the Indian Ocean and occurs, among other things, off the coasts of Kenya, Madagascar, the Mascaren, Mauritius, Mozambiks, Réunions and Tanzanias. It mainly lives in sandy sea floors near the coast and is part of the species -rich tropical soft floor communities.
