The striped cone snail (Conus Striatus), also known as a striped cone, belongs to the Conidae family (cone snails, English Cone Snails), which includes over 1000 species. The species was first described by Linnaeus in 1758. This cure of the sea, which is up to 13 cm long, prefers to live on sandy soils in coral reefs and mostly chases fish, using its strong poison. Their characteristic pattern of fine, parallel lines gives you the name striped cone snail (Striated Cone). Their distribution area extends over the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean and large parts of the Pacific, including the Philippines, Hawaii and Australia. It lives in depths of up to 20 meters.
