Barnea Dilataa, known as an open angel wing (English: Dilatate Angelwing), belongs to the family of the Pholadidae (real boring mussels) and the Pholadinae subfamily. This white shell is widespread in western Indopacific and lives in tropical waters at depths of up to 20 meters. The species is gonochoral, that is, there are separate sexes. Her filigree, wing -like shell shape gives her a particularly aesthetic appearance that makes her an interesting collector's piece.
